  1. I don't have anything in common with Luis because at list I finished high schools back in my country and I hope to continue a career in Nova next year. My life is different in so many ways than Luis because since I came hire I work and study and I had never give up even though I had thought it. In conclusion I think Luis finally understood that education is important and try to fix his life and his son, too.

  2. What we have in common is that we both dropped out of high school, but decided to come back to finish it.

I came here a little older to this country than Luis. I am also getting a diploma not a g.e.d.

Luis learned that with the money he was making and the car he got, didn't really satisfy him in his life like he thought it would

  3. First it is very hard to learn another language in my case when I stared the first day of going to school it was so difficult. Sometimes I didn't asked a question because I don't want to be embarrassed from the other students. The difference between Luis and I is he dropped schools and late, he went to get his GED. Now he wants to work as a translator to the other people who doesn't speak English. Education is very important because the way you can success and encourage another students to don't dropped out of school.

    1. My story about my second languaje, English, doen't have all in common with Luis' story because I never have in my mind to drop out to learn it.The common with Luis was that I was embarrassed to ask or repeat when I made a lot of mistakes with my English. As Luis I felt like a kid when I was learning to write, read and etc with the English. There are people get to laugh of my poor English. I don't care about it. I know what I want to reach with my English. My life is different than Luis because since chilhood I had in my mind never quit to learn. Luis learned that he can help to Latino people. He can be profitable. 987062

  4. I think I don't have anything in common with Luis, unfortunately i never ever had in mind to drop out any of my classes. what i always had in my brain was to its better to be stubborn for a moment than being forever.I have made a lot of mistakes from mistake can make a person much better. therefore i always kept in mind to continue to the end to fight what i wanted to be.sine i got here i haven't had much time to hang out with friends at all. When i got here i did know a little be English but it wasn't good. Definitely Luis's life is very different from mine. we had lived different perspective of life.At the end Luis learned that without knowledge in this world couldn't being a better person in life.

  5. Even though i didn't like school at the beginning i didn't drop off ,i always went to my first year of high school ,but the same as Luis i felt very silly in my classes when i didn't understand what was going on .It was very frustrating not understanding the language or what to do when you have to read a book and follow instructions .I always wanted to learn English even though it was hard to learn, but the day i decided to do a bigger effort to learn was when i went to a restaurant called jack in the box and the cashier asked me if i wanted my food spicy or mild and all i said was yes ,fortunately she was Latina and realized i didn't or barely speak English,so,she started to ask me the questions about my order in Spanish ,the guys who where behind me where laughing and i was so embarrassed .Luis situation in mine a little bit similar and that's why i understand him and reminds me of those ugly moments when i could not communicate with people by the fact that i didn't speak English .Luis learned that education is important everywhere ,it could be to be successful in life or to learn another language but most important ,he learned that to learn English in this country is very important for Latinos immigrants .987601

  6. The only thing in common between Luis and I would be that neither of my parents got their diploma or finished high school either. The difference between us is that my parents would rather die before seeing me dropout of high school or not get my diploma. If I were to ever dropout they would probably torture me endlessly until I decide to go back for my diploma. A big difference being that I've always spoken English, grew up speaking it, and was fortunate enough to have been born here in the U.S. Luis learned that an education is the key to success in life, it's the most important thing.
